Beijing Agricultural Vocational College is a full-time public university approved by Beijing Municipal People's government and registered by the Ministry of education.

The college has 9 departments including horticulture, animal husbandry and veterinary, food and bioengineering. At present, there are 40 General Higher Vocational Majors, among which Horticulture Technology, animal husbandry and veterinary, green food production and inspection are the key construction majors of the demonstration school. Urban Horticulture Specialty Group and animal medicine specialty group are the first batch of characteristic high-level backbone specialty groups in Beijing.

The college has 397 full-time teachers, including 28 full-time professors and 170 associate professors; there are 5 professional innovation teams and 4 excellent teaching teams in Beijing, 2 excellent teachers in Beijing, 10 famous teachers in Beijing universities, 7 famous teachers in national agricultural vocational colleges, and 25 outstanding young backbone teachers in Beijing vocational colleges.

The college has 37 comprehensive training bases and 156 laboratories, including color seedling breeding center, teaching animal hospital and food safety testing center. 330 off campus close training bases have effectively realized the combination of work and study, established Nanfan scientific research and breeding base, improved the ability of production, study and research, and the employment rate of graduates has been more than 98% for ten consecutive years.
