On June 26, 2019, the first “Silk Road Craftsman” International Skills Competition was launched in Beijing. This competition was aimed to implement the “Belt & Road” Initiative, promote skill exchange and cooperation among the countries along the route of “One Belt, One Road” and build a platform for skill and cultural exchange. The activity would also help build the overall image of “‘Belt & Road’ for skills cooperation and mutual development” competition, highlight craftsman spirit and improve the vocational skills development and competition level of Beijing and other cooperating countries and colleges.
The organization of this international competition not only shows the whole image and the service level of the school, but also examines its management level and organizing ability. All relevant departments highly emphasized this activity and spared no efforts in making overall layout and focusing on every competition detail, which contributed to the successful organization of the event. On the morning of June 27, competitions of western cooking, children-themed paintings and singing & playing of children’s songs were kicked off at the same time at Beijing Jinsong Vocational High School and Beijing Youth Politics College respectively.
